Ever wanted to try your hand at ballroom dancing? Maybe you have a fantasy of flying across the floor in your partner's arms, or sweeping her off her feet at the next wedding reception.
Whether you want to improve your kitchen dancing, or you have a goal to make it onto Dancing With The Stars, this Date Night will be a blast.
Come laugh, trip over your feet, and shake your hips with a bunch of awesome couples as we learn one of three dances at Ballroom Utah. Following the lesson, there will be a multi-room dance social where you can go practice what you've learned.
After the lesson, there will be a dance from 8:00 - 10:00 pm. Entry to the dance is $7 per person.
If you want your free tickets to the lesson, please register for the event to get details.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
You can dress up all fancy, or come casual. It doesn't matter.
Most men will likely be wearing nice jeans or slacks with a collared shirt and shoes that won't leave marks on a wood floor. If I were you, I'd wear leather-soled shoes, or tennis shoes like Keds.
Most women will likely wear a skirt, or dress in leggings or spanks underneath (you'll probably be twirling). For footwear, go with flats or if you have some pumps you could wear those too.
Remember, it will likely be sweaty, so wear something breathable that won't prominently show off your sweat. (Light grey is a bad idea. Trust me.)
Will there be food?
I believe they have snacks for purchase at the venue. I'd plan on coming fed. I'll provide a list of great restaurants in the area after you register. If you plan to stay for the dance after the lesson (I absolutely am), it would be wise to bring a water bottle.
Can I bring friends?
Absolutely! Just share this page with them and ask them to register. We like to keep track of who comes to these things so we can make sure to keep them in the loop in the future. This also helps us leverage cool deals with vendors and venues in the future.
Can I come if I dance like this?
Absolutely, yes. You can and SHOULD come and grace us with your sick moves.
